49TH ANNUAL WESTERN REGION CONVENTION WILL BE A FULL THREE-DAY EVENT.

 
IT IS TOO EARLY FOR THE MANUFACTURERS TO KNOW WHAT THEY WILL OFFER IN 2009.
MOST TRAINING DEPARTMENTS DO NOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION UNTIL THE CES DURING JANUARY 2009.
MOST, IF NOT ALL, HAVE COMMITTED TO PARTICAPATE AGAIN IN THE 49TH ANNUAL WESTERN
REGION CONVENTION.
THE FOLLOWING LIST OF THE 2008, 2007, AND 2006 CONVENTION SCHEDULES
SHOULD OFFER A THUMBNAIL OF WHAT WILL BE AT THE 2009 EVENT

AS IN THE PAST, THE CLASS LIST DETAILS FOR 2009 IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM FEBRUARY
2009 TO THE FIRST WEEK OF MARCH 2009 WITH 15 TO 20 UPDATES DURING THIS TIME.

MST (Multimedia Service Technician) UPDATED Class, first time offered.
Flat screen and home theater are HOT in today's market. Advance your

The Multimedia Systems Technician curriculum was written by professionals
in the service and manufacturing industries …experienced in today’s needs.
MST is a very specialized Journeyman-level certification for those
technicians involved with In Home Service (IHS).

• Practical technology and Customer Service areas.
• Deals with those problems that arise from the networking of many
peripheral devices with flat screen and Home Theatre installations.
• This certification is very broad, and deals with electronics as they are today.

Philips TV: Gary Fenton says his class will be covering the LCD LJ3.0 chassis operations and troubleshooting.
RCA: LCD and DLP troubleshooting and general discussion.
Sharp: 2008 Aquos LCD TVs
Sony Seminars: Isolating Brava LCD panel defects and troubleshooting backlight failures will be the main topics.
Toshiba TV: TV - LCD2007 (All 07 LCD models), TV - LCD2008 (Currently available 08 LCD models),
LCD Backlight Troubleshooting and Zeus 2 service manual use updates.
Trade Show: All other classes and activities cease during the Trade Show.
New this year, a space for you to bring electronics equipment, manuals,
books, or anything to sell, trade, or give away.
Large or items not practical to bring can be shown with photos and or signs.
This space will have a staff member or two in attendance.
